Show that your paper is yours, and who wrote which part.

Live In use today. Researcher accounts are open to anyone.

Write in the Editorrah editor and the session is recorded. Each author's writing is compared with their own writing style. You get a replay, a video, the PDF, and a private link you can share.

Replay it. Match each author. See who wrote what.

    Session replay and video

Every writing session is recorded: the typing, the pastes and the deletions. Replay it in the browser, download it as a video to send with the paper, and download the paper itself as a PDF.

A style match for each author

Stylometry compares each author with their own writing. Before their first paper, each author writes a short writing profile. Their part of the paper is compared with it, so co-authors get separate results.

Each author gets one of four results: Verified, Needs review, Inconclusive or Flagged.

    Who wrote what, in colour

On a co-authored paper, every passage is tinted with the colour of the author who wrote it, taken from the live keystroke record. A bar shows each author's share of the final words.

02What you get

Write the paper. Keep the record of how it was written.

Research Authorship records how a paper is written and who wrote it. Each author's text is compared with their own writing profile, and the replay shows how it was typed, pasted and edited.

Set up

Labs
Create a lab, or join one with its lab code, and share the code with your group. The lab lead sees every member's reports. Members see the member list and only their own reports.
Your writing profile
Before your first paper in a lab, write three samples of at least 400 words each, on easy, general prompts about your topic. Later writing in that lab is compared with this profile.

Write

A recorded session
Start a topic and write it in the Editorrah editor. Typing, pasting and deleting are recorded as you go.
Co-authors
Make a topic shared. Lab members with a writing profile write with you in real time. Anyone else can join from an invite link once they sign up and write their profile. Invite links last 30 days.

Share it

A private link
Once the session video is ready, create a link that anyone can open without an account. It shows the writing session, each author's result, who wrote what and the document. Links expire after 30 days, and you can revoke them.

Sample. Illustrative names and data.

A shared research record, as anyone with the link sees it.

Research records use the writing-style match only. They carry no AI-writing estimate, no similarity check and no webcam check.

03Why it matters

An independent researcher has no institution to vouch for the work.

Journals and funders now ask authors to disclose how AI was used. A researcher working outside an institution has nobody to confirm how a paper was written, and a detector score is not something an author can appeal against.

04Getting started

Accounts and sign-in.

Researchers

Sign in with your email and password. The link opens the sign-in page with the Researcher tab chosen.

New researchers

Create an account with your name, email and institution. If you work on your own, say so in the institution field. If your lab lead gave you a lab code, enter it to join that lab. Leave it blank and we set up a lab of your own, with a code you can share.

Co-authors with an invite link

Open the link, create an account and write your writing profile. Then you can join the paper. Invite links last 30 days.

05Questions

The questions we are asked first.

Do I need an invitation?
No. Researcher accounts are open, and a lab code is optional. Without one, we set up a lab of your own.
Does my paper get an AI score?
No. Research records use the writing-style match only: no AI-writing estimate, no similarity check and no webcam check.
Can I upload a paper I already wrote?
Not for this record. The record is made while you write in the Editorrah editor. A finished file has no writing session to show.
Who can see my work?
You, your co-authors, and the lead of the lab you write it under. Anyone you send a share link to can open that record until the link expires or you revoke it.
Can co-authors outside my lab join?
Yes. Send them an invite link. They sign up, write their writing profile, then write with you.
