AI governance is the next layer of the internet.

Editorrah makes a signed record of how a piece of work was made: who wrote it, how much AI helped, whether its facts check out, and who signed it off. A university, a court, a journal or an employer can open that record and rely on it, instead of guessing from the finished text.

Live Two records are available today: one for universities and one for researchers. Five more are Next or on the Roadmap. See who it is for

02What do I get?

Every record answers four questions.

  1. 01

    Who made the work?

Authorship match: consistent with 6 verified prior works

We read how it was written: the drafts, the edits, the time spent. Then we compare the writing with the author's own earlier verified work.

  2. 02

    How much did AI do?

AI assistance: 2 segments detected, both declared

The author declares where AI helped. We check that against how the work was actually made, and show both side by side.

  3. 03

    Are its facts real?

Fact verification: 14 of 15 references verified at source

Each claim, quote, citation and link is checked against its source. Anything we cannot check is marked unverifiable.

  4. 04

    Who signed it off?

Human sign-off: J. Doe, Course instructor

A named person reviews the record and signs it. The decision stays with that person. The record is their evidence.

How a record is established

03How does it work?

Watch it written. Check the style. See it in colour.

Today the work is written in the Editorrah editor, which is how we see the way it was made. Three views show it.

  1. 01

    Session playback

Replay the work being written, from the first word to the last. Every paste is marked on the timeline, so you can jump straight to it.

  2. 02

    Writing-style match

Stylometry compares the writing with the author's own writing profile, so work that does not read like them stands out.

  3. 03

    Flags in colour

For teachers, text pasted from outside is highlighted in red, outside text retyped by hand in amber, and sections flagged for AI-written content are boxed. On a co-authored paper, each passage is tinted by the author who wrote it.

04What should I know?

The questions we are asked first.

Do students have to write in your editor?
Today, yes. The editor is where we see how the work is made. Integration with Canvas, Moodle and Blackboard is on the Roadmap.
Is this a detector?
No. A detector reads the finished text and returns a guess. We read how the work was made and check its facts, then issue a signed record that can be examined piece by piece when it is challenged. Why not a detector
Can a court rely on this?
The record is evidence, not a verdict. A judge or an integrity office reads it and decides. Filing Verification, which will check every citation in a filing, is Next: it is being built and is not yet issued.
What can I use today?
Two records: Authorship Verification, for universities, and Research Authorship, for researchers. The other five are Next or on the Roadmap, and each audience page says so at the top. If you want one of them, book a demo and we will say plainly where it stands.
Where do I sign in?
Teachers and students sign in from the universities page. Researchers sign in from the researchers page. The other records are not issued yet, so they have no accounts.

05Where is the detail?

Why this is becoming a requirement.

Proof of who did the work, and whether it is true.
